Hi, I'm Kylie!

I'm a former interior designer turned Disney-obsessed artist. 

 

Four years ago, I took a year off to rediscover my creativity through drawing classes, planning to return to the design world.

 

Then came our annual Disney trip. All I wanted was a simple t-shirt with the winking hippo from It's a Small World. I love her so much—she's my icon! But I couldn't find one anywhere.

 

So I decided to take matters into my own hands. My first design was honestly terrible (it was my first attempt!), but when I wore it to the parks, people loved the concept. That's when I knew I was onto something special.

You know the princess hug rule, right? How Disney characters don't pull away from a hug first. They stay in it until the other person lets go, because you never know when someone might need that extra moment of magic.

 

That's the heartbeat behind everything I create at The Quirky Mouse. I've gotten messages from people going through really hard seasons, and something I made became their tiny bright spot—not because it fixed anything, but because it reminded them there's still magic in the world.

 

And yes, that's my daughter, Penelope, hugging Anna when she was 4yo. Anna sat there like this for quite a while!
