Sister to the Paris print. Same wash, same rules.

A painting of Japan. Red torii gate, five-story pagoda, the castle at the back, a sun behind all of it, and a crowd on the promenade that doesn't look like much until you notice the ears.

And two trash cans in the foreground. Because that's what's in the foreground when you stand there.

Everyone who visits your house sees a torii and a pagoda and a very nice sun. You see the trash cans. That's the whole point of these prints: Disney on the wall, without Disney being on the wall.

The buildings are the pavilion's, each one a scaled copy of a real place — the gate at Itsukushima, the pagoda at Hōryū-ji, Himeji Castle. They don't line up like this in the courtyard. They do in the painting.

    I spent sixteen years as an interior designer, picking art for other people's walls. Most of it was beautiful. Almost none of it meant anything to the people who lived with it.

    These are the opposite. Every print starts with a detail I couldn't stop looking at in the park, and I draw it until it feels like the real thing, only quieter.

    What size should I get?

    Measure the wall first. 8×10 suits a desk or a gallery wall, 11×14 a small wall, 16×20 goes over a console or dresser, and 18×24 or 24×36 over a sofa or bed. Not sure? See every size on your wall, or try a gallery wall.

    Do prints come framed?

    Not right now. Prints arrive unframed and fit standard frame sizes you can find at any frame shop.

    Is the art made with AI?

    No. Every print is drawn by me, by hand.

    How long does art take to arrive?

    Art also ships from a warehouse (separate from the shirts). These can take up to a week to be printed (it takes time to make beautiful giclee prints!) and then a week to arrive. Canvas prints can take a little longer since they are being hand-wrapped.

    Do my art and apparel ship together?

    They don't — apparel ships from an external warehouse and art ships from me, so they'll arrive separately at different times.

    How are the art prints packaged?

    8×10 prints ship flat with a rigid backing. Every larger size ships rolled in a rigid triangle tube, so nothing gets crushed on the way.

    Where do you ship to?

    All over the US, including Hawaii and Alaska — though both tend to take a little longer than the mainland.

    I purchased both the Sally Slater and the Epcot Trash Can prints and they are both beautiful. Kylie was absolutely wonderful to work with, and when we realized there was a shipping issue with the artwork, she jumped to immediate action to get it cleared up.     I love the feeling I get at Disney, the thrilling rides and the happy vibes, but I really don't care about the characters. I was so happy to find artwork that looks sophisticated, does not have the usual characters, and secretly gives me a Disney fix. It's an "if you know, you know" kind of thing.
