The lights go down. The screen expands. Your feet leave the ground.
And for the next eight minutes, you are somewhere else entirely.
Soarin' Around the World takes you over the Matterhorn in Switzerland, Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, the Great Wall of China, the Taj Mahal, Iguazu Falls, the Eiffel Tower, and a dozen landmarks across six continents — all from a hang glider, all with the wind in your hair, all before Patrick tells you to have a nice flight and sends you back to EPCOT.
The original Soarin' Over California opened at Disney California Adventure on February 8, 2001. It came to EPCOT in 2005. The world version arrived in 2016. The ride system — that slow, perfect lift into darkness before the screen floods with light — has never changed. It doesn't need to.
The Soarin' Around the World tee is for the EPCOT regulars who rope-drop The Land Pavilion. Who know which row gives you the best view. Who have strong, documented feelings about the orange grove scent from the California film. Who end every visit the same way: lifted, briefly, above everything.
Have a nice flight.
